Top 5 must reads -crime and mystery
Hey everyone! Welcome back to pretty little readers and today I will be telling you about some of my most favourite crime and mystery books. I have tried to include some for a younger target audience so there should be one for everyone! Hope you enjoy!!
And in no particular order...
1) The girl missing series by Sophie McKenzie
This book series was just amazing. It had me gripped from book one through to book 3. They were the first books where I felt as if I could sit and read for 3 hours straight. Amazing. The targeted audience is around 12-13+ and I would 10000% recommend. Sophie's name will pop up many times during this post as she is amazing and deserves recognition.
2) Candyfloss by Jaqueline Wilson
This one is more for a younger audience with an age target for around 10+. I read at the age of 10 and loved it. I wouldn't fully class it as crime and mystery but it still could possibly fall under this category. I loved this book and found it very entertaining!
3) Hide and secrets by Sophie McKenzie
Again another great book by another amazing author. I honestly read 5 chapters in half an hour and the plot twist in just that amount were incredible. The book has a deep meaning and the name of the book perfectly describes the words inside. This is a must read! This book has a target audience of around 12-13+.
4) One of us is lying- Karen McManus
This is a great book series and I love it. This was changed into a Netflix show which I watched in one sitting but I was disappointed to find out that the characters in the show didn't match up the the descriptions in the book but it doesn't change the fact that this is a great book. I would say that the target audience is around 12-13+
5) The girl of ink and stars by Kiran Millwood Hardgrave
This is a great book which falls mainly under the mystery section and I think it has a great meaning behind it all. I read this when I was 11 so I think this is great for a younger audience of an age around 10-11+.
I you mange to find a book that your interested in and if you need anymore info, suggestions or recommendations feel free to comment as I will be replying to all of them. Thank you!
